My practice is rooted in the desire to interrogate pivotal moments in history that have led to the formation of today’s geo-political landscape. I interweave documentary and fiction in films, photographs and installations to allegorize the news and combat the desensitization by the news media in order to create a more personal connection to history. The themes of my work locate themselves in the shared territories of imperialism and Romanticism, the Cold War and its consequences, the history of resistance new modes of participation.
